CD autochanger won't give up its disc cassette

Help! The CD cassette in the boot of my 1997 XK8 coupe won't eject. The CDs inside play properly but they seem to be entombed! I am doing the right thing: sliding the cover back and pressing the eject button - but nothing happens. I have tried with engine/radio on and off and no amount of persuasion produces a response. Is there a trick to this? Maybe a local battery or fuse? TIA.

I take it you aren't getting any error codes on teh radio?

Should just pop out when you press teh eject button.

Is the door fully opened? When you press the eject button, do you hear any mechanical sound?

Leave it a few weeks until it stops playing CDs like they all do, then just rip the thing open.

I heard some whirring the first time I tried but nothing happened. No further whirring on subsequent attempts.

In true Sky TV fashion.........Had this on my TVR and after disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery it cured it, then it eventually did it again...and I figured out the connector on the back of the changer was easier to get to than the battery.

May or may not work on yours but if all else fails this costs you nothing to try.
