Advice on buying E30 touring

Hi Just wont some feedback on the best model and possible problems, I will be viewing the following over the next 2 weeks.

1. E30 325 touring, white just over 100,000 miles on "F" plate last owner 10 years asking about £1200
2. E30 320 Touring, blue 120,000 miles again "F" Plate asking aboutr £750
3. E30 316 touring, white just over 85,000 miles on "L" plate asking about £1000

I am looking for a car to use for the wifes business and double up for towing jet skis, I intened to keep the car as a future classic, dont know alot about these cars so any advice welcome

I like these.. Don't think I could stomach the 316 though.. I'd be after the 320 or 325. 325's seem quite sought after however.. Plus many are getting on for 20 years old now. Its hard to find one thats in nice condition and hasn't been buggered about with too much. Even though they are not much money now, I'd want to give it a thorough checking over to make sure its a goodun and not full of tin worm, as they are far from immune..

Buy on condition & hisory rather than mileage and certainly not on price (buy the best you can afford!... be selective and picky)

and I'd either ideally go for either a 325i Manual (maybe an auto) or a late 318i Lux manual or maybe a 320i Manual... 318i goes as well as he 320i but with better economy

Look out for when the cam belt was last changed (esp. on 318i as its 3yrs/35k)

Look for rust all over esp. rear arches & tailgate

ask about the condition of the interior (esp wear on drivers seat)

Watch for overheating and headgaskets on 6cylinders and 4cylinders get a bit rattly with miles on the top end
