So the so-called "safety" stasi takes photos no matter whether you're speeding or not??? Data Protection Act contravention???
Certainly here in the EU, that photo would be covered by this EU Act and could not be used....as the driver who was targetted was committing no offence! ergo, the photo has to be destroyed within 48 hours.
Typical safety stasi being petty and overbearing... should all be burnt at the stake IMO!!!

In the words of my son upon seeing the image; "Of course it was dangerous - he could have had someone's eye out..."
All I can think of is the situation where one ahole is photographing another ahole.

The prosecution of the driver smacks of the case of the bloke in my neck of the woods who 'flicked the vee' at a scamera van and ended up with half a dozen woodentops kicking his door down to do him for public behaviour.

Laughter. Anyone remember it?

BBC Article said:
Jeremy Forsberg, of the Northumbria Safer Roads Initiative, said: "This behaviour is simply ridiculous - it's clear what he was thinking with what he had on show.

"Not only is it disrespectful, but distasteful and offensive, particularly to children who may have been exposed to this nonsense.
But how many children will actually be reading this BBC article? scratchchin

Are we actually sure the passenger is mooning?

Looks more like a mirror reflection on the windscreen...
