Hi.

My car is currently in for painting. My bodyshop guy has asked whether I wanted any stone chip putting under the sills and perhaps under the front of the bonnet. I know there would not be any 'rust' issues but he thought it might protect the paint in these vulnerable areas.

He was thinking it might be an idea to put it right down the sills on the very underside edge and perhaps under the 'valance' area below the lower air intake.

Do the cars get damaged a lot in these areas under general use? Has anyone else had this done in these areas or would this spoil the look and 'originality' as I am thinking it might?

Cheers
Paul.

YES I WOULD GO FOR THIS AS LONG AS IT IS NOT TOO EXCESSIVE. YOU CAN ALSO BY A STONE CHIP PRODUCT THAT YOU CAN PAINT OVER AS WELL SO IT IS THE SAME COLOUR. IF YOU WANT ANY ADVICE GIVE ME A BELL!
