oil pressure gauge

Anyone experienced problems with their oil pressure gauge going up to max and sticking there (until the ignition is switched off). Clearly not an engine problem as it still does the same with the engine off and the ignition on.

So it’s electrical, but sensor, wiring or gauge. It’s under warranty anyway so I am sure my dealer will sort it.

My money is on the sensor. They're not the more robust things and it would only take a minor failure to affect the voltage to a degree that it buggers the signal.
