any idea why the 'bulge' on the driver's side?

Was washing the Derbyshire mud off the Sag at the weekend and was approached by a passer by who enquired - "that bulge in the roof, is that so you can fit your head in ?"

Still trying to work out if he was taking the proverbial, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

Not so sure about the 'room for a helmet' bit - the headlining is flat inside and the bump isn't reproduced ( you don't need it for a helmet anyway)

are you sure you have the same car as us ? ...ours is definately profiled on the inside too in the headlining ...

I`m pretty sure mine's flat inside too, however I haven`t been out in it for a bit for my mind could be going (as known to happen..)

Mine is profiled, kind of, but I think the backing on the headlining has come un glued, because you can push it up further.

I stuggle for headroom with helmet even with the seat base removed.

So thats another job to take out/replace the headlining and re glue etc!
