Noble Newbie .............. or not ?

Hi Guys,

After recently selling my EVO 6

I ve been afer a M12 or M12 Gto-r but bottled it at the end to get an evo X !

Lol , i supposed i desreved that really ...... i didnt have time to finish the earlier post due to work so here goes, the full story !

Basically i was offered a deal on the EVO X that i couldt refuse and im sure i will do very well out of so i ve put off my noble purchase off til some point this winter - ready for next summer !

Also the reason for delaying my decision was the fact i need some advicce, my budget will be £25-30 k so a few questions to ask .........

Will i get a good one for that money ?
What model shall i go for ?
What are the differences between the two specifications M12 and GTO
Are there any pitfalls to lookout for ?
Any common modifications that need to be done ?

Mate you should have got one for this summer. Their fantastic, although I know I am biased having owned my GTO3 for 2 years.

There is a wealth of info on the different models on here. Just use the search function on Pistonheads.

But for your budget 25-30k you will most certainly get a winner. Just take your time looking for the right one.

I only just got it(feb) so its NOT going anywhere just yet. I just got rid of a impreza spec'C' (lightweight everything etc) so she used to that.

I ve always been a TVR fan and had a lot of experiecnce with em, but i wouldnt have one now apart from a sagaris but thats a little out of my budget.

So whats the best way to start getting my head round the M12's ?

I take it u frequent the MLR steano? I'm evo6sam btw. After owning my car for over a year i have to say i'd be hard pressed to sell as the car is an express way to hell lol. Nothing will beat the noble for the money. I take it you paid around 35k for your X. I would have bought a M400 for that no doubt about it.

I couldnt tell you my username on there it might cause a stir if im thinking about selling the evo ! lol

My X is a JDM spec so considerably less cash than a uk X but still good M12 money ......... not sure whether to go for the M12 or save up some more cash for the 3r

Hence the reason i need the opinion of you guys !

Unless the GTO-3 is a sorted one with lowish miles then i think you'd be better off going for the 3-R. Can pick up a tasty one for around 30-32k i would have thought. I bought my car from Jim Noble on here so it had done very few miles(7k) and had everything i wanted on the car. Believe me once you get one you won't look back. Any old excuse to go for a blast. If we run out of milk i take about an hour to get a pint lol.

Im also on the MLR as I own an EVO. The 3r IMHO.
I'm amazed that we all say how capable the Evo is in all weathers, 4 doors, big boot etc etc and then feel the need to get another car ?
The Noble is a very different and rewarding driving experience though and does require the drivers attention all of the time when making progress as there is no 'electrickery'to help out !
Deffo worth the change from the X tho !
