Could someone explain to me what the stock market it is and how it works? It is something I have never understood and would really like to understand.

Also what is the ftse, dow jones and nasdaq etc?

How is money made on the stock market?

are shares related to the stock market?

Why is it called the stock market??

What is market trader? a stock broker??
