E60 interior trim panel not fitted correctly?

Hi,
Loving my 535d only I've notived one of the interior trim panels does not appear to be sitting correctly. The panel is the small strip in front of the gearstick which has the heated seat buttons - pic below should explain.



The panel appears to be recessed too far back. How do I bring it flush with the wooden veneer suround please?

You'll need to pull the wooden panel forward then you'll be able to mate the two parts together before refitting the lot. Can give step by step instructions if you need, just email me.

I had a 1 series for a motorshow with anthracite cloth interior (grey) except for one of the rear passenger arm rests which was blue. Also again 1 series poverty spec, but one of the rear windows was blacked out like it had the sun protection glass (tinted windows). How these cars got through quality control I don't know?
