Boll@cks, just finished fitting 2 fans.

Cheers Gary anyway.

Mucho hacking of old cowl and fibre glass in arms, hair, eys and 2 spanking new fans and they spin and they cool.......but not enough methinks? getting 13 mph wind speed off them (not sure what the volume shifted is), think its cos I have them in parralel or won't it matter? And they cost a lot more

If that's an average across the whole face of the rad, that's roughly the amount of ram air you'd get cruising at 70 mph. Sounds like it should be plenty!

Gotcha. I used an anonometer (wind speed thingy if I have the name wrong) and wafted across the two flows from the fans.

Had a nice test this afternoon. Seems a nadgered fan, not spining in the air flow due to grit for bearings, accounts for my temp going up when it shouldn't. Also explained why we had to stop every so often to let the motor cool the other weekend. Not enough airflow. Also the new fans hold it at a certain temp and bring it down if its above (overide switch). Nice. Happier now. Need runway.......
