Digital POD stopped working

The digital pod on my Tuscan 2 has stopped working, the screen is completely blank with no data showing at all.
Can anyone recommend where I can find a replacement pod.

Have you tried playing about with the contrast/brightness etc? Same thing happened to me last week - seemed to have reset itself.

Unable to even do that as pressing either of the two push-buttons makes no difference... i.e. screen is still completely blank.

The contrast and brightness are controlled via two of the three knobs to the left of the steering column, at the back of the....er, glove ledge?!

Mine has thrown a wobbler about 5 or 6 times now, and it always resets itself after turning the ignition off and back on. Be aware that this didn't work immediately on the one occasion, I had to leave it for a while.

Apart from loose wires and damp, I've heard bad earthing can also cause problems here. Have you had it throw up random characters or replicate other display areas yet?

This happens to mine sometimes. Release the steering column lever, pull the steering wheel towards you and then all the way back in. Lock the column in position and press the start button. Pod will probably work. Its unlikley to display is knacked, its probably a dry joint in the stack of circuit boards behind or a loose wire. This works for me every time (although its doesn't happen very often).

I had the same issue with my dash pod last year, in that it just went blank my Tuscan which is a Targa model, but has the same dash as the Vert, first thing to check is that the ‘D’ type connectors are pushed fully in both at the dash ECU, which is located behind a panel in the drivers footwell and behind the pod which you can just about get to without removal.



If these connections are OK check the other input signal cables to the ECU although these are a very tight fit and are un-likely to come loose.

After checking the cable connections I had the ECU checked by Cath Mason, but no fault could be found in isolation.

The actual problem on mine was not a cable connection issue, but an earthing issue with one of the fixing studs on the dash pod not being correctly insulated this was found by removing the pod from the fixing frame ,5 m6 nuts holding it on at the back. Switching the ignition on with the pod removed from the frame the display come on again:-



I have insulated the fixing studs on both sides of the fixing frame and have had no issues since.
