A couple of weeks ago I mentioned on Deltaf's petition thread that there was going to be a survey conducted over the internet here in Perth with one of the questions about scameras.
The survey results are out. www.ozsurveys.com/

Pleasing to note that fully 86.3% of respondents believe that cameras (multanovas here) are revenue raising devices. Sadly, over 1/3 of the total number of respondents think that they aid road safety.
Still, when you consider the overwhelming amount of propaganda that is trying to convince the public that speed kills then this is probably good news for the realists.
There are a couple of other questions that may interest PistonHeaders including one that asked if we should be allowed to use violence against intruders. 93.4% yes to that one.

Those who check out the survey may wonder about question 8 which refers to a curfew in Northbridge. Northbridge is a nightclub area and the curfew applies to unaccompanied minors wandering the streets late at night. Most thinking adults wonder what children are doing out late at night in an adult area where they all to aften end up in trouble. We wonder why their parents aren't concerned about their children.
Hint....Some say this policy is racist.
But it applies to all.

I agree. I am currently on a sabbatical from the UK and I am living in Perth until Jan. The amount of camera's in hiding is disgraceful. Not suprised about what people really think especially with the number of roads with very low speed limits.

RJO; have you found any decent orgnanisations or sites over here that are as strong as PH - I am finding it difficult to find any decent sites. Obviously NMAA but few others and NMAA does not seem to make many changes to their site.
