Are these lotus paint touch up pens any good for stone chips? Washed my car the other day and noticed a few. Have seen these pens on a website while browsing before. Starlight Black is the colour.

Thanks

Yes, I use one after almost every wash to keep up with the buggers, although mine is a brush so that may not answer the question at all rolleyes

Very good - buy in bulk and apply with a roller.

After so long you'll get fed up and either leave it or opt for a respray... mine is certainly getting worse but I enjoy driving it too much to stop them!

They are good. You are supposed to be very patient and build up light layers until the chip is full, then polish it back to be more flush/blend in. Some guides talk about nail varnish on top then to seal it, but I have never bothered with that! You tend to find the paint removes the chip from vision until you really look for it, which is as good as it can get, methinks.

Another surprisingly good option is ....ah, can't remember...is it Magic Wax, or Colour Clean?? A Turtlewax product, about a tenner for loads of it, basically a coloured dye which stains the chip back to the colour. This does slowly wash away, though.

Funny you should have asked that question yesterday as I ordered one from B&C yesterday for just the same reason.

Is that a rhetorical question? wink

Yep I got mine from F1, in newcastle. 8 quid I think.

....but as craig said..you'll get fed up and realise its pointless and may as well wait until its really bad a get a respray.
