Looking to change my tyres on my MTB as the back one is getting a bit bald in places and I could also do with some chunkier tyres.

If it was a car then the tyre fitting station will dispose of them but as I will just change the bike tyres myself where would I dispose/recycle them?

What do people do with their old bike tyres?

Speaking from personal experience, they naturally gravitate towards the back of the garage and sit there for years looking at you in an accusing manner every time you get the bike out...

The bin would suffice although Schwable run a tyre recycling scheme where they collect used tyres from shops when they deliver new ones.

I just chuck them in the bin or use them (mostly inner tubes though) for things on the bike that they can be very useful for and far cheaper than other stuff.
