Anyone got one of these...Project RPM1 GENIE Black (Turntable) is it any good.

Looks like a bargain at the price £139. Compared to others i've looked at!

Not had a Project, had a Rega which is similar and has probably been succeeded by the success of Project over the last ten years or so - iirc the whole Project range is generally seen as being good value for money vs. sound quality.

For the price of an iPod you can't go far wrong. Looks natty too.

I have a Project - cannot remember which model, but cost around the same as yours, and it is very good indeed. Highly recommended make.

I'd look on Ebay for a Basik or Axis, much better in the long run.

The Axis is a Superb Turntable especially if it has the Akito/K18 Arm/Cartridge combo, however have you tried finding one, let alone at that money??? The Debut that Richer Sounds carry looks a better bet to me especially the USB version if your Amp does not have a "Phono" input. If it does just get the standard model with a Goldring 1022GX cartridge.
