Hi
Is anyone aware of a cover that can be used to showerproof the car without the roof being on. The reason i ask is that with this fine weather i am liekly to use the car most days, don't want the hassle of removing and replacing roof every day (I'm disabled and the roof is getting quite hard to do), but want the car to watertight overnight. I just need it to cover down to the bottom of the windows.

any help much appreciated

Steve

Try Leven: http://www.leventechnology.co.uk/index.htm

Then select TVR

Not sure if it would be water tight without the panel in place, might be worth giving them a ring.

You can't link to individual products on the leven site.

I don't think this will do as it requires the hood to be on.

Lev Tech do a cover but is usually used in conjunction with the targa panel in place or at least i have not heard of anyone using it in the manner you have described Tus boy and tbh i think it would probably be more hassle to fit that as against the targa panel its self scratchchin

I have thought about a waterproof cover that doesn't involve the targa panel too. But not worked out how to achieve the result yet! All I see happening is there being a large puddle of water suspended above the seats - kind of like the TVR equivilent of the sword of Damocles!

The Leven Tech cover is quite rigid material, but as suggested you might end up with a puddle unless you put a strip of wood or something across the gap between the screen and the rear Targa section.

One of these http://www.prezziesplus.co.uk/kitsch-and-weird/dou... under the leven cover removes the risk of "pooling".

BB the font of all knowledge as usual thumbup

I've had a puddle big enough to have carp in but it hasn't let me down yet.
The biggest PITA is trying to empty the puddle out of the cover without wearing most of it hehe

If I really wanted complete peace of mind I'd get a couple of bits of inch or so wide ali from B&Q and cut/bend them so they fit into the slots where the targa panel fits.

None taken.

Anything that avoids completely emptying the boot to get the roof out each night when on a touring holiday is OK with me, especially since it's out of sight under the cover.

I just need to remember to pack the bcensoredy leven cover next time!

DOH !!!
