Barbon Hillclimb

The above round of the British Hillclimb Championship is on this Saturday so I am thinking of running up to have a look. It is £8 entry (assume as per last year) and as the forecast is nice it should be good. Practice in the morning and the runs then start at about 1pm but a very scenic location with some serious cars as well as some less so. Is anyone else thinking of going??
(Barbon is just north of Kirby Lonsdale on the east side of the river just off the A683 - if anyone wants directions I can help with a map so PM me)

I'll be driving over on Saturday morning from Newcastle (possibly with some others from the NETVRCC). I'll keep an eye out for your car in the car park... unless you are competing!

Hi Geoff - no I'm not competing! The practice starts at 10am and the timed runs at 2pm (not as I said above - I've rechecked the website!) so a more leisurely start to the day - hope to see you there!!

Thanks Geoff - I arrived roof down mid morning and at lunchtime sat in the car with a coffee after putting the roof on again with the shower - then fell asleep for a few mins so didn't note you getting there. The day was good with some serious efforts on the track particularly at the hairpin which seemed to cause plenty of problems for many people; had to leave early though hence the scribbly note - not easy writing on the palm of my hand at the best of times! Your car looked very good. I hope you had a good drive back; maybe see you at S club!
