I need two cylindrical shims making up to act as spacers in my top mounts in my suspension of about 4-5mm thickness each.

Obviously I need to measure exactly what I need, but where's my best bet to get them made up? Where's a good place to start? Regular engineering works? What do I type into google or yellow pages or similar as a starting point when phoning around tomorrow?

Go for the sort of engine place that can reseat valves, and put in new valve guides. They're pretty sure to have a lathe, which is what it sounds like you need.

Sounds like you need somebodys grandad smile

I think anybody with a lathe can make them, I would just phone around different engineering places and ask them.

Speak to Gerry at Phoenix Motorsport in Camberley Surrey. He has a full fabrication workshop and can make pretty well whatever you need.
