I'm technically incompetent and had to get rid of my TVR..

I bought it for fun for the summer before heading off to uni, would sell it before going to uni. Turns out though that the clutch something has gone so the engine needs to be taken out to repair, then there were some gaskets gone so the engine was leaking oil (near to the exhaust).

Had to cut my losses and ended up swapping it for an old jag, not as much fun at all but it is drivable.

I am gutted but relieved.

I'd always wanted to own a TVR and now I have met another target in my life.

Enjoy your cars, I am forever enviable and oneday I'll be a TVR driver again, should my degenerative retinal condition not worsen to the point where I can't drive.

Good luck at Uni. Just aim to get a good job and then pay somebody else to look after the NEXT TVR you buy once you've graduated.

Good luck indeed. I had TVRs when 19, then a gap for a long time, hopefully you'll come back to the fold too
