Thom..I think there are two....which limits discussion somewhat
Most of the people I know through the owners club etc..really aren't the sort of guys who would use this sort of thing regularly (sorry if any of you are reading this and disagree, but its a fair generalisation I think!)
I'm with Ted.....

One of us is fairly vocal though

I'm also with Ted on this one-the myth and image of the Lambos (especially the Diablo) seems to bring the idiots/fantasists out of the woodwork like no other car.

You don't work in property do you (an area with a fair abundance of dangerous psychopaths...)?

Hey guys, or at least diablo owners, I am trying to track down a diablo 6.0 VT finished in Viola Ophelia paint - I know, it sounds more like a large chested opera singer than a paint colour.
There is one on reg. plate D 14 BLO and fairly certain another on W 602 XGP. Neither of you would have either of these I don't suppose. Failing that do you have any way of finding out as I want to spec. the paint colour (already have its PPG code) but I need to see it in real life first.
Any help would be gratefully received.

I used to see 'D14BLO' drive through my village (on the A283 in surrey/w sussex) every morning - and I mean every morning come rain, shine, snow etc.... And it changed colour once a year - grey to yellow etc... One morning two or three of them were in a row. All very bizarre - who is this person!!?? What a car to commute in.
Hi all - I used to know the guy(s) who own the diablo numberplate...havent seen him for a while as don't really do the meetings anymore. Last time i remember he had a banana yellow diablo - but think he might have crashed it? I have NEVER seen a 6.0 in purple mind.
Mine is an SE with a JOTA kit and a 'one of a kind' exhaust system...and a some weight reduction...and a few other bits
. It is viola - but much darker metallic than the current colour (Im fairly sure). I'll try and track his number down and se what I can find out for you - if it is on a viola now am sure there'd be no trouble you having a look.
Jon - property is way too cut throat - even for me!!
cheers

This site is just amazing, thanks a lot for the info and the offer of help.
If it is of any help, I've a copy of a photo of D 14 BLO in viola downloaded from the web which I think was from the owners club list - the colour looks quite flat in this pic though. It is also January's car on the Top Gear calendar and looks a bit brighter.
The first pics of the colour I found were at www.motorcities.com, click on 'Sports Cars' and scroll down the left hand side to the Lamborghini list and look at the 2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT in viola ophelia. I guess this is in the states but this is the one that caught my attention.
Thanks again.
