I've invited a bunch of friends over this weekend for dinner for a group cooking session.

Last time we did burgers, we had a big bowl of mince etc and people made there own avec random toppings and fillings, which worked really well.

It was good for my friend who's never cooked for himself to finally get his hands dirty.

But this time I cant think of what to cook?

Pizza wont work as I want to have people around for each stage of the meal and prepping dough will need to be done 4/5 hours before.

We could do burgers again but I fancy something different.

so any ideas?

BBQ with make-your-own skewers

then just have small bowls of assorted chopped veg and meats

or stir fry - large bowls of rice, then people make the stir fry bit themselves - again, bowls of ready-chopped ingredients.

bbq maybe, I like the idea of actually making stuff though

e.g. making pasties (rolling pastry, filling, decorating etc).

Smart idea.

Like an in home Mongolian BBQ

Which, thinking about it wouldnt be a bad idea for round two.

Get a load of chopped meat, fish, veg, some oils, spice etc and get people frying their own asian cuisine.

Make up a huge bowl of rice for everyone to take from and bobs yer uncle
