Hi all,

Need to get the air con regassed, these are the only mobile business I can find:

£45 doesn't sound too bad either but obviously I'd like a recommendation if possible, or any other mobile business around Peterborough or Huntingdon?

Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob,

Just used this guy a couple of days ago. LRS, based near Boston but may well cover your area. Very prompt service, came out the same day and very good service.

Had the system pressure checked as it wasn't working and refilled £75 all in.

Details :

LRS (Lee)
07833 705363.

The pressure check might be a good idea - years ago I had a BMW and the AC packed up. I took it to the BMW dealer to be regassed. They regassed it. Two days later that gas had gone again. I complained. 'Well we did what you asked', they said... then quoted me £600 to replace a 'seized compressor'. I'm glad I declined as it later turned out to be a different fault... irked

45 quid is a very fair price, my A/C regas and service cost 48 quid at local garage which I thought was a bargain.

I've got him booked in for Tuesday evening, earliest he could do as he's suddenly really busy for some reason, so will report back then.

Rob

I've used Tony Wilkerson in the past (07814 413163) and been very pleased with his work, well priced also.

Well, he came, he filled, the air-con's cold, I paid, he went, pretty much describes that experience. He said it held a good vacuum, I nodded sagelywink He has added die to the stuff so if it does leak it'll be detectable, so I'll see how it goes over the next few weeks.

Just in time for the cold weather of summer rofl

Cheers,
Rob
