Maybe he needs to take on some hired help?

No!

Other indi's have gone that route, and the service, at one in particular, was atrocious as a result, if I'd wanted muppets working on my car I'd take it to any old garage.

Leave Andy alone, he knows what he's doing. biggrin

likewise, mine's going into him in about a week and a half, new starter motor, oil pressure/water temp gauge replacement, oil and coolant change, and some other little bits (knocking sound when turning right at speed, and car cutting out when hot, as if the idle isn't high enough (might just be an idle adjustment?).

He's finding storage space for all the cars a problem at the moment! can only drop mine down when he's ready for it, as hes got "cars everywhere", but as said, I believe its worth waiting for a trustworthy pro like andy to work on the car, as out of the few tvr indie's out there, I've already had some shocking experiences with others.

Not everyone's a muppet. I'm sure Andy has enough savvy to know if his colleague is a useless muppet or not. Hhe wouldn't tolerate anyone ruining his reputation.

Just means that he could have a slightly quicker turn around. Maybe he would then have a bit more time for race prepping cars, engine tuning and bhp mods etc.

I'll not say another word, I promise.

I'd be careful what you say when talking about how busy specialists are and hence the problems we encounter as (good) paying customers. You can quite easily be misunderstood as "having a pop" which can result in you loosing your TVR mechanic. As a result of my misunderstanding with the best TVR mechanic this side of London, coupled with no other local(ish) specialists that I trust, my Cerb will have to be sold this year.

Heard a lot of good things about Andy/APM. The only problem I can see about his set up.....its too far down south. Needs to move up to Sheffield.

Odd post!

Surely the other 'specialist' to whom I refer you would have credited as bright enough to realised that what they were doing was going to have a downside, some of their 'mechanics' didn't even seem to have a grasp of the English language! Not impressed. You pay a lot for a specialist service and that's what I expect.

My car goes to Andy as I only want Andy to work on it! He has an attention to detail and depth of knowledge that I respect and trust (with my life) and I wouldn't want it any other way, plus he is a good mate!

I hope this post helps him forgive me for leaving my transponder in the truck at qualifying and blowing the engine up trying to regain some credibility in the race!!!whistle
