why I love the Chim again... First day off in months that hasn't coincided with a small monsoon, so after giving the old lad a wash I've been out and burnt about £30 worth of VPower.

Pulled up in Moortown, Leeds to nip to the bank and on my return was parked between a Lady Porsche and a BMW Z4. Guy in the green grocers laughed as I reversed out said 'Good to see there's still some class out there' cool And there was me losing faith in humanity... biggrin

Main reason for posting though is a thank you to Steve at SSCC @ Boroughbridge. After a good thrash I got stuck in traffic in Knaresborough and saw the gauge almost hit 110. Once through traffic, a quick squirt up the road (and thankfully some cool air through the engine bay!) and Steve replaced the otter switch that had decided it was time to give up. Little job but as always done in good humour with enough time to have a chat about an abandoned Wedge he has in the workshop! Thanks.

V8's and Yorkshire back roads are made for each other. These cars are superb... Shame in 4 hours I didn't see another TVR though. Anyone else been out?

Steve

Hi Steve,

I've only had my Chim' for a week or so but I've done almost 300 miles in it already.... Went down to Littlehampton from Reading yesterday, only 65 miles but it's all cross country and took almost two hours. Got the chance to waste an M3 away from a set of lights (and yes he was trying, hard....) God I love my car.....!!
By the way, love the alloys on your car, what are they? I'm looking to change the cheesy old Imola 5 spokes on mine....

Cheers,

IanM

Ian,

Alloys are this years addition. Next years will unfortunately have to be an eminently more sensible roof. Wheels are 17" Ford RS 7 spoke softlines - an ebay purchase after reading a recent thread ( http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ). Was desperate to update 'the look' a bit and these did it for me - each to his own though - wheels seem to be a personal thing! thumbup

Ford dealers still sell them if your looking. Have a seen a pic of a Griff with them too that looked good!
