Door lock problem

Unlocked the car today but couldn't open the passenger door with the outside button but its ok with the knob inside. I had a look at the mechanism and a small tab which engages with the cable release when the button is pushed has broken off, so it looks like I need a new lock mechanism.
I've trawled through parts suppliers but can't find anyone who stocks this part,so if anyone can help
me track one down it will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the Breakers? eg: douglas valley?

or, for parts like this you often find the dealers (or what were the dealers...) are good - Hexham HC are anyway - just got a mirror 'collar' from them for under a tenner as mine had broken.

try Ian ITS of malvern sells the dor solenoid kit for about 12 quid

he is very knowledgable and amazingly helpful
