But on bikes.

Schuey has proved he is handy on the Ducati MotoGP bike and races supermotard. Hill was a motorbike racer before he did F1.

So: Schumacher vs Hill, identical Ducati 1098Rs, 3 laps around Monza.

Who would win?

My pick would be Michael because I suspects he has maintained his fitness. And is younger. But it might be close.

I'd go with Schuey since he's racing bikes at the minute, is younger, fitter and working on the principle that if you're fast in one thing you're fast in anything, more talented.

Okay, so its decided who would win ... but who would you prefer to have a few pints with down the pub after the race?

thats gotta be Damon, surely?

Damon's got more intelligence than to race Michael on bikes, i hope. biggrin

I wouldn't mind having a pint with either of them, both very diferent personalities but both would be far from boring.

Quite possibly true, always think of Damon being more of a laugh, but the few interviews I've seen with Michael he does come across quite good, not very typically german ....

  • edit*
Preferably down a pub with a few arcade racing games as well - get a few beers down them and see if I could take them on the old Sega Rally or whatever they've got down there driving

Is it me, or does that rider look like he's got a stump for an arm...

My money would be on Schuey, BTW. Just to keep it on topic!!

lol so you reckon Schumi's level of cheating would even involve throwing his face into the front wheel of Hill's bike just to get him to crash?

I saw schuey recently, he's got a funny shape for a bloke, bit of a fat arse on him. I reckon Damo would win, he was champion of brands once, and a full on mc courrier

Schumacher = Modest!

Not at the 1997 Belgium Grand Prix.
Neither at the 1997 Spanish Grand Prix, either...

Damon Hill actually raced bikes for a number of years and wad pretty successful at the level at which he competed. His mother encouraged him to take up car racing to get him off bikes.

I think that Hill always comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke so I'd be more than happy to have a few drinks with him down the pub.

When at the height of his racing career, Schumacher had a reputation of being arrogant - although I'm not altogether sure that a lot of this was down to the prejudices of the British media. However, on track he definitely showed a questionable atitude to morals and fair play.
Hsving said that, I am sure, especially that he no longer competes, that he has mellowed somewhat and I certainly wouldn't pass up the opportunity to have a pint and a chat with him.

ha ha ha! Thanks for the laugh mate. Before the break in F1 Hill jnr was a bike courier/odd job man, and often to me seen around the pubs in Wandsworth. His comparitively late entry into car racing meant he was a fully rounded person, unlike the kart-kids on the grid today. Hill also has family challenges which also helps him put the F1 world into some kind pf perspective.

I did see Hill race a bike at the Goodwood revival, I have to say his heart really didnlt look in it.

What did Brundle say about Scummie;

"First out of the cab and last at the bar".

I'd go with Damon any day.
