British Transport Police Query

On my commute I regularly see British Transport Police cars & vans, do they have any jurisdiction on the road?

Interesting, I've seen RAF Police vehicles MILES from the local airbase, what about them? MoJo.

Same again mojo, no power outside their jurisdiction, which is usually a set area outside the base. Even more so with military police types who really are not police as such, as they deal with specific military stuff.

I was called to an inquiry a few years back as i witnessed a horrific crash that was caused by MP chasing a 15 year old girl in her dads Audi Quattro, needless to say the girl never made it as she hit a stationary horsebox on a blind up hill bend at about 60 MPH, the police and MP's were crucified as a local bobbie was in the MP landrover and they hadnt got any local powers, they just gone on a drive round to see if they could see her...they did and about 25 seconds into the chase before they could get any local powers she crashed !

At Christmas around Clodchester you get the beat bobbies and the redcaps doing joint patrols, makes sense really as you pool resources and both types are there to crack respective heads where neccessary.

I hear from friends on the plod that the Transport police have a not so great reputation, any plod care to comment?
