I have an 88 Turbo (LHD) and I notice that when I run the aircon, I get water dripping down inside the passanger footwell (not lots but enough to wet the passengers feet). I figure it must be condensation from the A/C and I see a black, ribbed pipe that seems to terminate (open end) in the footwell. Does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening? A blocked drain pipe perhaps?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Mark (AZ88Turbo)

Hi,

The Black corregated pipe is the floor vent for the heater/AC. The moisture you're experiencing is from a clogged A/C drain. Look under the car by the front left of the passenger seat and you'll see the A/C drain. Take a piece of coat hanger wire and gently insert it from underneath to open the drain back up. This is likely a case of 'They all do that, Sir'. If there is enough humidity in the air water will collect on that hose and ultimately begin dripping...

Mine does it too. I'll check the drain, but at least there is nothing to rust.

Thanks for your help guys, I figured it would be something like that. I doubt if there is too much humidity in the air, I live in Arizona where "but it's a dry heat" is the state motto

Thanks again,
