I've got a rough scoring noise coming from my aircon pump when I turn it on. Not really paying too much attention I decided to attack it with some GT85.... not a good idea as I realised the outer wheel is the clutch mechanism. Bloody thing sticks and smokes now. Doh!
Is it easy to get off and clean up or is it better left with a mechanic?
Also, do you think it's a bearing gone or could it simply need a regas (although it was done 3k miles ago)?

Doh, clicked the wrong smilie... I'm far from smiling.

Don't know, but...

...anyone got a picture of the aircon in situ with the drive belt and 'tensioner'?

Can't find it in the PDF files.

Cheers

Not to hand.

I do remember that the belt goes on the inside on the tensioner i.e. the outside edge of the belt touches the tensioner.
