635CSi Value?

A friend of mine has the chance to buy a 1982 Silver 635CSi Manual. The car has leather, 103k with full dealer service history, 1 Owner from new, and is said to be in pristine condition with no rust!

What sort of money is it worth?

By the sounds of things possibly somewhere near 10k. Depends on the true condition rather than the owners view which can sometimes be biased.
If the bodywork is near spot on and the leather/interior nearly new I would say over 10, as a guess of course as I havent seen it and im not an expert.
You can pay 1k for a rotter, but I have seen a concours M635 up for over 30k.
Post up some pictures if you can get them.

But it's impossible to make a judgement on the basis of the information so far.

As said, often people's perceptions of what constitutes "pristine" can vary wildly.

IMHO if it really is "pristine" it's easily worth over £10K, as Neil said.

I know someone with a very low mileage M635Csi who has turned down a £40K offer for his car in the past.

If it's not and needs lots of work (especially bodywork and paintwork) it's not even worth £1K in bits because of the time and effort to take all the bits off, advertise, sell etc...

The value of these cars now varies so much that one really needs more info on that specific car to offer an educated estimate of what it might sell for.

No Neil...it's a Diamond Black one that I know of with very low miles.
