Can any of you guys giv eme some advice on booked up for a little road trip from here in the UK (Middlesbrough) to LeMans 24hr on the 4th/15th June this year?
Me and a friend are really thinking about going but im not really sure where to start. Obviously we will want to be camping so, my questions are:
1: What tickets do i require for admission to get into the venue to see the cars in action;
2: Where is the best place to purchase the tickets from as 'such short notice'?
3: What are the implications for camping. What is required (besides the obvious) ie; what tickets, how much are they, where do you set up tent etc in relation to the track itself?
4: Is there anything specific i require to get over there, besides money for diesel, ferry crossings and a valid passport and a euro TomTom?
5: What is there to do during the run up, on the evenings etc after Qualifying for example, before the race itself basically?
6: Anything else i should know? =]

In answer to you questions....
1) You'll need a General Admission ticket, these can be bought on the gate when you get there.
2) eBay? but you'll be paying a big premium! , otherwise check out people offloading their unwanted tickets last minute on here, 'Beermountain' or 'Club Arnage' Im told you could probably turn up and get Beausejour tickets at the circuit, but a bit risky for me.
3) Various campsites situated near the circuit, some closer than others, face value on them is around 47 EUROS, they're selling on eBay up to £150 for place like Houx Annexe. You'll get a 35m square pitch, you'll need one ticket per car.
4) You've got most things covered, don't forget your licence if your driving.
5) For me...Having far too many beers with friends. looking at all the exotic machinery around you etc....
6) Im sure you'll get more advice from others soon, this year will be my third time so Im still learning!

There's some good deals (c.£50) going with Norfolk Lines on the Dover-Dunkerque route.
You can buy anything you forgot at the supermarkets in LM.

There's plenty to do earlier in the weekend, qualifying from 7 'til midnight on Weds and Thurs, then mayhem on Friday and headaches on Saturday morning.
