CAT C repair, guess why it's that price.

Different front grill, not a cheesegrater it's more like a T400R front.

Mmmm - been watching that one, it's been popping up for a little while. Obviously it would be a bargain to anyone who knows what they're getting into. Personally, I'd look for another more expensive example - even though the colour (wheels excepted) is good and the front end a bit special.

It's all very well if you know what has happened, but perhaps a damaged car might be a sign of a history of a lack of care or sufficient knowledge, and TVRs all benefit from being well looked after and being used sensibly. You know - jap car, take it out the box and go for it; TVR warm it up nicely take it through a suitable running in period and then use it to full potential....

...as I say a purely personal perspective.

Also worth bearing in mind what the re-sale value may be when the time comes for you to get rid of it. With a colour scheme that may only appeal to a small niche market, and also someone willing to accept the previous damage may be tricky.

I don't think it will be too long before the Tuscan's are down below the £20K mark even for an undamaged model IMO, i rate this on the early engine problems and now that the warranty level on these cars will be £1K and will cost significant £ to fix if they do need rebuilds also if you check the Tusacn threads you will notice the HUGE rise in premiums for Tuscans due to "apparently" millions of £ of claims in the last 12 months due to right offs, damage etc. I think the cheapest Tuscan i saw was £23K and not a cat C damaged one ..... i would estimate the damaged one would need to be about £15K to sell again IMO.

I saw that one myself. However, I'd have to sort the wheels and grill out - so 21k? There's a Rosso Pearl (I think) on Autotrader for 24k with significantly less miles and a warranty following engine rebuild. I know where my money would be going (and it's not on a pimp mobile :-) ).

Me to - looked and spotted this one also and like you say, with the warranty its a steal.... Personally Gold wheels dont do it for me and would prefer something with a little more "provenance".

Oh, and someone else mentioned elsewhere about Tuscans getting a listing in the CAP guide this month. So how can it be "8K less than book" as it is only in the book now..? Artistic license? Oh, well the chap is only trying to sell the thing...
