Hi,

Just received another great level of service from Horizon Motorsport yesterday. I have been using them now for a year or so and have never been disappointed with their work but this time they really excelled.

I dropped the car off at 10am with a small fluid leak and low oil pressure (25psi hot idle and 40-45 psi driving) plus a large number of surface scratches and one larger scratch down a front wing and door.

I had the loan of a courtesy car (yep the old escort) and I picked my car up at 5pm,
coolant leak fixed
oil pressure relief spring
complete oil change from 5-40 to 20-50
New oil filter
Car buffed and polished from head to toe with all surface scratches removed.

The best bit, all the work was the right side of £160.

And here are a couple of pics of one of the shiniest cerb you will see (even though I took the photos last night well after sundown and after a 50 mile blat):

Aye, Mike and the gang are damn straight and very, very good at what they do. Been using them for five years now (ever since they first set up in their old place) and they now look after the whole stable, not just the TVRs.

Any idea what the labour is on a clutch change at horizon?? - will have the parts soon to supply for the job, but dad is rapidly running out of time to do the change as he has motorsport commitments next weekend...

Thanks - Approaching 2 years of ownership I still find myself looking out the window admiring the car. Atlantic Halcyon is such a good color for a cerb, it ranges from a moody greenish color (see profile pic), the mid blue color shown in the pics above to a bright lightish blue in direct sunshine.

She certainly is – the car just keeps getting better and better the more I drive her. Now I have all the jobs sorted on my list it is onto upgrades. Brakes, suspension or engine...I think I need to start saving.

No idea – all I can tell you is when I first went to Horizon it was to solve a dozen or so issues created by a previous garages attempt to replace the sump. One of those was to solve a clutch issue I had where it kept sticking down so you couldn't engage a gear. They removed the clutch and replaced some broken release component (I think it was a spring) and it has been fine ever since. So they are up to the job.

Just give Mike a call they have always been very reasonable on prices, here is their website:
