Has anyone any experience with this unit which is available for £399 from Halfords?

Hi, I went into Halfords to buy one of these but was virtually talked out of it by the salesman who said it was too easy to 'nick'. Apparently the radio stands proud of the dash and flags up the 'aftermarket' status similar to a ring from a satnav holder left on the windscreen will encourage thieves. The other drawback is that there is no DVD facility which in a 7" screen unit would be great. I settled for a TomTom 1 and saved a wad of cash.

I would like a fold away dash mounted satnav, which would you recommend?

Anything with a clip-off anti theft panel, ideally made by Alpine, Pioneer or Kenwood.

You can get Alpine packages too, but I couldn't find any online ones...
