Was wondering if anybody had any decent road reccomendations. I live in Hounslow, not far from Heathrow and realised that I spend ages sitting in traffic and driving in stressful urban conditions.

Over Christmas I went away with the gf for a few days and had a great time tooling around the roads near Frome, Bath, Trowbridge etc. Probably the best roads I've driven on, the A roads on the way there were quite good fun as well.

So are there any like this near to me? Finishing uni in a week, and haven't driven in 6 weeks so looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.

Cheers.

Just an Astra at the moment, it's ok as far as fwd hatches go.

Need to build up some ncd and look at something a bit quicker in a year or so.

That route might be good fun, requires the A3 from my area which is a nice enough road. Deffo one to bear in mind.

Try the West Sussex circuit of down on the A283 to Petworth, along A272 to Midhurst and then up the A286 back to Godalming. A quick and easy route - if you have longer, extend the A283/286 down to Goodwood and along the coast. A272 also goes out to Petersfield.
