Thought I would see what all this HDR fuss was about.
The image looks very HDR but there is something about it i like. The location is looking out over the market square, bromley.

I love the sky in that shot.
My experiments with HDR have been rewarding too.

I'm assuming that one needs multiple exposures of the same scene in order to create the HDR version, but I've seen some pictures (of people/moving things) that couldn't have used multiple images. How are they done?

Shoot in Raw and then post-produce a number of images at different exposures perhaps. Never played with HDR too much myself but that might work.Edited by F_M-R2 on Sunday 11th May 10:49

Curtisl, how many stops +/- are you using? Looks to me like still not enough detail in either the sky or the shadows? Correct me if I'm wrong!
Well it was a bit of a cheat, the different exposures were all created in PP. Just wanted to find out the logistics first before embarking on a proper hdr shot.I think the last shot is the best..... ive gotten used to seeing the white sky
.
I think because so many of us under or over expose part of a photo everyone is jumping on the HDR bandwagon. I must admit when im out shooting anything involving the sky, i find my self taking three shots all the time.... ive gbeen bitten by the bug
