Massa - Only ever one from Pole - is this right?

Did I here the "COCK" say this yesterday in my fwd of the F1 race or did he just mean at the Turkish race?

If he meant all the Races Massa has one have come from Pole - er that IS NOT GOOD IS IT!

As pointed out in Autosport this week, Massa has yet to prove he can fight for a victory - witness last year in France and the Nurburgring for example.

If this is the case and he has NOT one from anywhere other than Pole in a Ferrari then he is a Waste in that car. Todt is a Great Manager.

They should ring Davidson!

Personally I've always felt he's a competent driver but no more. On his day he can be excellent, but there are quite a few drivers I'd rather see in the number 2 Ferrari.

Before someone tells me I'm not a real fan if I'm not watching it, I watched it religously for 15 years, but all the BS that comes with it now has just put me right off. FIA especially.

Sorry, but it comes down to the old "what if he was in a less capable car" question. Without a doubt, Massa is a midfield driver and nothing more. Do you think he would have been able to respond to Hamiltons middle stint if he had needed to? I think not.

He won from 2nd in Bahrain earlier this year - but that is as far back as he has ever had to come from, IIRC.

Anyone know of a site that has F1 stats breakdown? Like a carling opta type thing. I'd be interested in these for all drivers, past and present. I'll go and have a google but if anyone knows in the menatime...cheers

Same here - but to get back to this. LH has more talent in his left leg than Massa has in his whole body (his is good but yes mid grid in anything bar a Mac or Fezza). LH at least can drive through a field to a high final poistion if he has a problem - something Massa would struggle alot more with (GP2 Turkey - Awesome).

No over taking in F1 anyway if cars are on the same fuel loads (all fixed so there is some overtake) - fuel weighs ALOT!

one is a number (1), won is what you do when you win a race.

Have you read the thread - he has never won from anything other than pole - what dose that tell you about his overtaking abilities or F1 in General - he has been in the best r one of the best 4 cars for the last 3 years! that is ALOT of races.

We have to have reverse grid in F1 and no fuel or tyre stops in F1 to show who is best (even the best cars stating at the back, would really have to show there metal to get as high as they can as the cars in from get further into the race).
