Well what can I say?

We took our car in for a service this Saturday at Lipscomb's, they offered me the Europa see pictures as a courtesy car, I was offered first a Volvo V70 & a Fiat Punto but went for the Europa for the crack!

What a weekend!!!!!

I'll write a more detailed report on my finding's of the Car but for now a few photo's

Did you find that you were collecting Elises behind you whenever you took it out for a drive?

Hi all,

Just thought I'd share my findings on the Europa S (200 bhp)

I've driven all variant's of the Europa and each time so far I've noticed something different, the main reason I took test drives was to see if it was any good and I have never been disappointed. I've never really had a long enough test drive to make a decision that's the big problem with Lotus? A 10 - 20 minute test drive just isn't anywhere long enough to make your mind up on such a big financial commitment, I had to test drive the Exige S 5 times before I made my mind up and brought one.

We've had the Europa now since Saturday and used it all over the weekend, I've done around 250 miles so far and it's a huge step away from either an Elise or an Exige, cruising on A road's or motorway's is totally effortless and it just blows anything normal away into the weed's! Can't quote speed for obvious reasons but it's more than quick enough for the road, pushing it hard through left and right corner's show the Car handles but it doe's start to show that it's a GT car and not so track focused, Lotus have engineered this thing very carefully and once you've driven it for a while you see just how good Lotus are at making a completely different car but basically using the same bit's. It's a fine car however their are a few issues with the interior finish and the car had only done 4000 miles, the only down side I can see is the lack of out right excitement, it doesn't make me want to show off, doesn't make me feel young, it doesn't make me feel like a 10 year old with his 1st remote control car that's what's missing

I'm returning her next Saturday and will enjoy the journey's we take this week but I wont be swapping our Exige S and now more than ever I feel we will go the Bmw, Lotus route I.e. (S/C Elise or a 2 11 and a BMW 3 Series) as opposed to the Eagle, I just think the car's going to be to much of a compromise and I want the real thing
