The Ginetta is getting ever closer to being back on the road, and last time i drove it the breathing wasn't up to much. Now i've added a proper air filter, new exhaust and ignition and a rolling road session will be in order.
Does anyone know of any rolling roads in the Ipswich/BSE area that will be able to tinker with a single 28/36 weber and a good old fashioned distibuter?
I know there's one over the Ransomes side of Ipswich, but i've known 2 'old fashioned ' cars go there and not come back with paticularly good results... i'll use him if no one can recomend anywhere else.

Hi There, I would highly recommend T&M Auto Electrical Co ltd, Commerce way , whithall industrial estate Clochester, the old guy there is superb with carbs and distributors, I was there over two hours last time I went, he found me an extra 20bhp, I can honestly say it was the best £60 I have ever spent on the Westfield, It ran so different afterwards it was amazing. It may be a little out of your way but it would be worth the extra drive.
their phone number is 01206 799490

I've tried TM in the past and unless they've upped their game, whilst they might be clever, they're so busy it's almost impossible to get anyhting done. At least, that was my experience a few years ago.

They have a rolling road and are fairly easy to get on with.

I'll second the above, they managed to get the M6 on when I had it

Just a minor correction, it didn't go bust, Ray Mears (no, not that one!) decided he could make more money rechipping cars and consulting for other rolling roads rather than running his own shop. He's still around and available to hire at your chosen rolling road smile

I've used a few of the local rolling roads as I have had a number of race cars, with Webers and DTA systems.

- I rate T&M for old-skool but they have little or no experiance of engine management stuff. Certainly couldn't touch my DTA.
- Autopoint no longer exist
- Lorven Performace Systems (LPS) at Martlesham went tits-up 6 months ago.
I believe their rolling road went to Hanger 11 at Newbourne
- There is another one in Colchester whose name escapes me. Not rated.
- Cambridge Motorsport (unsurprisingly in Cambridge) are pretty good.
- And of course you have the well respected Dave Walker at Watton, Norfolk

Many thanks for the replies chaps, there's a few there that sound suitable.

Aah, yes i have fond memories of Autopoint in it's earlier days. 2 mates of mine started the business after they got sick of contracting on aircraft. After a few years one of the founders wanted to go back to his native West country, so they sold up and started up afresh as Power station ( http://www.powerstation.org.uk/ )
