Help needed Jap import friendly garage in Newbury, Berkshire

A colleague of mine is looking for a Jap import friendly garage in Newbury that will happily work on his MR2.

There's an import dealer on the greenham common estate and there's subaru for u who might work on a toyota but I don't know any other jap import specialists. The big one in thatcham closed down quite a while ago. Is there any reason you need an import specialist and not simply a decent garage?

Ask in the thames valley section too as someone might know a place close by.

The importers on Greenham comon I'd not bother with.

Go down and have a look at the cars they are trying to sell and make your own mind up.

What about Millway in Andover? Or does he need somewhere he can push it to?

Try giving Jez at Horsham Devolpments a call.

There a Nissan specialist but may do other makes.

Jez is highly recomended by the SXOC, and is based in Chievley.

there is rising sun performance near Alresford/Winchester area (if they are still there) Skyline specialists who had a good reputation, they have been known to work on other jap imports before.

Depends on what you need , i often get odd jobs done by Halfway Garage in Thatcham , anything more complicated than routine stuff means a trip to a specialist, i use a guy in Eastbourne for my Skyline , although i have used Rising Sun i wouldnt reccomend them

I got loads done there. Loads of good things, few bad.

I also used to use "Ken Bell" out in Fleet. Family friend and again laods of good, few bad.

I used to have an MR2 (mk2, owned both NA and Turbo). What needs to be done to the car?
