I know the demise of TVR has been done to death on here - the whys and should haves, etc...
Still, it was lovely to dig out an old issue of CAR and look back with fond memories on the way things used to be:-

The order books were full...
The competition was virtually non-existent...
The back pages of just about every motoring magazine at the time were full of adverts for TVR dealers...
The outlook was rosy...

Ah well - back from the world of dreams!
Just makes me all the more proud and honoured to own a piece of automotive history.

BTW - Get well soon and best wishes TreVoR Wilkinson!!!

will go and get the beastie out of the garage later today and take it for a blat... Still amazes me how many heads turn at the sight & sound of a TVR and how many people come up to chat (was 10mins late for a meeting yesterday as i got talking with my CIO about our TVRs...)

Im just finishing an old Jeremy Clarkson book of columns he wrote in the mid to late 90's.
Even he thought TVRs were great back then, raving about the Chimera, the all new Cerbera and how the Speed12 was the only interesting thing at the London motor show.
How things change.
That might have had a bit to do with the fact that he was friends with Peter Wheeler. Even he thought TVRs were great back then, raving about the Chimera, the all new Cerbera and how the Speed12 was the only interesting thing at the London motor show.
How things change.
