Anyone out there still got a 6/92 copy of Car Magazine?? I'm after the 968 vs. RX-7 roadtest specifically. If anyone can me help out, that'd be great.

Silly question,,but do you know what is on the front cover? It may save time when i venture into the car mag room.

May also be worth checking E-bay there are some serious car mag collectors/traders on there,,i have picked up specific mags & road tests on there for a couple of £ plus postage.

Clubsport,

Front cover has RX-7 & 968 on a beach looking all sexy. I heard about this edition on 968.net, it apparently was on e-pay not long ago.

I've got several hundred car mags in need of a new home I'll have to sift the ones I want and ged rid of the rest. A big job for a wet afternoon!

Cheers,

Steve

Steve,

I have a book that contains most (if not all) the 968/944/924 roadtests over the years. I am pretty sure there is a vs RX7 in there, I shall have a look when I get home today, then scan it and email it to you.

Thought I had it, but I have a copy of the Autocar & Motor test from 1993 pitching the 968CS against the RX7. The CS won, despite having slightly lower limits, by being an exploitable great fun hooligans car. I think this reversed a previous judgement that went against the original lux coupe.

Paul, thanks - that'd be great

GR4. Cuh, I dunno. There's just too much anti lux-ism out there (scuttles out into garage to rip rear seats out and apply dodgy stickers...)

A mate of mine is trading his Audi TT (225) for an Rx-8 this autumn. It'll be interesting to see what that's like.

Thanks again,

Steve

1992 wasn't a nice time to be a Porsche dealer ! Lots of press and public backlash against pricing and the brand generally. Now we've ditched that baggage we can appreciate the Lux for the fine car that it is, particularly at current prices. I'm not sure RX7's have stood the test of time so well ?

Paul, no worries. Either or both of those will do fine (if you're willing to scan them of course!)

Cheers fella.
