Help! Flight to LM cancelled

I just been informed by Airtrack that they have cancelled their flights to Le mans this year (due to lack of interest!!!) Does anyone know of another company doing charters to the circuit for the big race, this year is going to be so good and I really want to go. I dont have the holiday left to take the timeout to drive down there, and trains are just a pain.
I thought the trains werent too bad? My mum is coming down to meet my dad after the race and I recall it wasnt a fortune much to my surprise!

Failing the above I am sure you could jump in with someone, and there is always someone who posts up - my mate let me down, who wants to come with me in my Ferrari!

Easyjet fly from, I think, Luton to Tours and then you can hire a car for the weekend. Tours to Le Mans is not a long trip. Your problem, however, is going to be the flight timings. Last time I looked they were not good for someone wanting to go down say Friday evening and come back Sunday night.

Train from Tours is about an hour.

No, the trains aren't too bad.In 2006 I was meant to be meeting up with a friend at Portsmouth for the Tuesday night crossing and I did... just the plan was to meet with with him in his car, not for him to blow his engine 10 miles from Portsmouth!
Not to be defeated he managed to get picked up by the AA, arrange for his car to be trailered home the following day, for his misses to be in to receiver it AND to get a taxi to the port in time to board as a foot passenger.
8AM Wednesday in Le Havre, with the heavens emptying he had to walk to the railway station (no brolly), catch a train to Rouen, change for a train to Paris, change for a train to Le Mans... and arrived a good 2/3 hours before I did (in my defense back roads/lunch stop en-route).
Just did a quick check on http://www.raileurope.co.uk/ and the 09:50 train from London, with one change in Paris will get you to Le Mans for 11:59. This still leaves you 3 hours to get to the circuit.

No the trains aren't bad, I have first hand experience. I was reading //j17's post and thought that this story was familiar, then I realised that the "friend" //j17 is referring to was me!
It was an interesting journey to say the least, but the trains were excellent and it was sadly the end of my 4th engine in my Spitfire. Hopefully going to make it with car this year, although not in the Spit!

Ryanair fly from Stansted to Le Mans. Normally leaves 1100 and arrives 1320. Leaves 1350 and arrives around 1400 at Stansted. (No, you probably are amazed at the return time of 10 minutes but you forgot the one hour time difference!) You can rent a car in advance to be picked up at Tours.

You mean Tours, surely? I flew Stanstead/Tours in April for the princely sum of ten quid. However, Ryanair do stuff you on excess baggage, so take care. Also no seat allocation (unless you pay extra) and the front eight rows were 'not for occupation' on my flight for some reason.Re: TGV - during that same trip I used SNCF service from Angers (via Le Mans) to Paris CDG. It wasn't particularly quick, taking more than 2 and a half hours. Maybe some services don't stop as frequently as others, but to me there didn't seem to be a whole hell of a lot of grande vitesse
