Right so having bought another defender for no real reason I have decided that I need a Bowler Wildcat to add to my little fleet as life is too short !!!

Does anyone know anything about them i.e. price / where I can get a second hand one from, I know Drew Bowler has sold the rights to Qt but by the power of pistonheads someone must know someone with one or who has one for sale ?

Any advice welcome

Thanks

I've never even seen one for sale, but a comment I overheard amongst the Landy fraternity suggested you'd be lucky to find one for less than 40K.

Tomcats come in at more respectable prices but like you, I **really** want a Wildcat.

Good luck finding one.

Drew Bowler sold the rights to his first incarnation (Tomcat) to these people http://www.tomcatmotorsport.co.uk/  there are a few Tomcats on this site for sale . Bowler wildcats are harder to source and a lot more expensive. Dont know where you live but if it is close to the North east you can come and see my Tomcat.

Why would you want a Wildcat? It'd be horrible on the road and unless you have acres and acres to play with?

Spotted these at the tunnel terminal last year:

173,000 Euros apparently - the Dutch guy had just bought two of them to knock around his land and was taking them back to Holland.

Definitely one of those off-the-wall cars that I've got on my list of "must haves".

I watched that Top Gear skit when Ben Collins drove an Evo against a kid on a downhill skateboard, followed by the Wildcat. Got me wondering how they'd compete on a rally stage. Are they too heavy for that sort of competition?

QT is owned and run by a really knowledgable man called Dave Marsh.

He has been on the extreme style (dakar) rally scene for years and has been converting defenders etc for a very long time.

Contact him for a chat about what your after and he may be able to provide a cost effective solution.

He is based in Liskeard in Cornwall.

Tomcat is a space frame mounted on a Landy chassis.

Wildcat is full bespoke spaceframe.

It is a Bowler Wildcat 200 Dakar edition.
I bought it last year from a hungarian for 70k eur.
It took another 62k eur to have it totally fit for competition by Technoraid in France.
Right now I'm winning the Romanian Rally Raid Championship driving this car.

It has 3 ways adjustable Ohlins dampers - 8 pcs (4000 km racing)
V8 rover but with a Sodemo injection - real 230HP (compared with the standard ±200 - don't trust the written figures wink )
Reinforced shafts
The drivetrain is also reinforced
I have a brand new fiberglass body shell for the car (in stock wink 6k eur)
etc.

The price for the car is 95.000 EUR exVAT (wich as long as you're buying it for a company you won't be paying)
(including all spares: 10 spare wheels; 1 gearbox brand-new; water pump; fuel pumps; filters; lamps; windscreen; 4 shafts; steering pump; + a lot of other spares)

Victor

(this is the first post for this car)
