I know, it's a TVR and therefore I should expect problems, as no doubt someone will be along shortly to remind me rolleyes

Anyway, there I was on my way to visit my parents in Brid, very much enjoying the Withernsea to Hornsea road (as advised by Burriana - great road from what I saw of it!), when all of a sudden the engine dies and I coast to a halt. All attempts to get going again thwarted by fuel pump fuse repeatedly blowing.

3 hours later, after a fantastic effort by Mr RAC Patrolman, I'm underway again. Short circuit somewhere forward of the fuel pump. Now got a nice bit of wire running from the boot to the fuse box, but it's apparently safe. My power steering also appears to have packed in judging by the effort it took to pull off onto the M62 sliproad at Huddersfield and subsequently into my garage. And to cap it all, as I put the roof panel back in, I noticed that the metal bar running down the drivers side is bent and doesn't fit properly anymore. frown

Ever wished you'd stayed in bed?

Jesus what is happening around here lately?

Sorry to hear about that Nick, Im glad its nowt majorly serious and the power steering is likely to be a relay too as the same happened to a mate of mine in his Saggy on one snowy day in Leeds!

Not sure about the roof though confused

Thanks Scott. Pretty sure the power steering is a relay like you say, just can't be ars*d looking at it now. Metal thingy (for want of a proper name) on roof probably just a case of bending it back and securing properly. Just can't believe how today turned out though. Off to bed now, I'm sure everything will look much better in the morning!

You need to start worrying Nick if it stops popping and farting. That would be a major problem smile

Hi, Sorry to here about your tvr chuck...
Just thought I'd pre warn you guys, every couple of weeks theres usually a nasty unmarked car round that way, that sits just round one of the tight righthand corners when you go through Roos. My family live in and around Hornsea and Withernsea so I know the road very well, lots of fun.
Theres also Aldbrough to Hull if your wanting a quiet fun road.. round the back and you end up at Bilton.

Ok, someone is sending out bad car vibes!

Or maybe byriani was that upset at missing the dawn raid that he's decided to sabotage peoples cars at meets so they break down soon after?
