Ok as the time draws closer Im getting more nervous about the fact I've booked my das over 3 days
( Circuit based training at mallory) rather than taking a number of lessons and a test over a couple of weeks...

How many people did intensive courses and whats the success rate

cheers

I already replied to this but I can't see it?

I had a 4 day course at Amllory with Sean and David and passed first time. The instruction is really good and being on the bike for long periods of time is a big bonus in my eyes, things become more natural very fast.

Anyway...what I was going to say was that taking individual lessons seems to work out cheaper as far as I can tell...

i did an intensive course. i think i'd have forgotten stuff a lot if i did lots of seperate lessons. it is mentally demanding learning it all at once but i think its worth it.

I did a 4 day DAS, with an extra day on a 125cc to "refresh" after a break between my CBT and the DAS.

I decided part way into the DAS that I wanted an extra couple of days tuition before my test, so paid for that separately.

I failed my first test on the U-turn and occasional dragging of the rear brake. I have taken two days extra instruction to try and get rid of that, plus practice more U-turns.

I would say that IMHO, you can never have too much instruction. It all increases confidence and regardless of who we are/how good we think we are, we can all benefit from extra instruction. If you think you'd benefit from extra lessons, book some!
