I will also be building an Ultima.
Speak to Ted or Richard at the factory, after getting the serial/model number of the gearbox and taking a pic of it.
My guess is that it may cause problems as the Ult is mid engined and uses an upside down rear engined transaxle from a 911... the Boxster is mid engined so may not work.
When you can source a G50 (I have reserved one at 800 GBP, with LSD from a 964RS) that can take up to 650bhp, what is the point of making life difficult and going for weird Boxster transaxles???

There's no finer piece of Tupperware than a GTR...
Use some nice gearboxes though, so Ult worshippers get visiting rights here

OK, I will be attempting to build with a certain amount of outside patronage... satisfied
I will only get my tech to do the complicated stuff, so I will put the wheelnuts on all by myself.
I will still have it done before iguana ever gets his project Golf/Corrado/lawnmower track beast ready, tho'

Actually saw one oop here a couple of weeks ago - forgot to mention it in despatches - a GTR and yup, they are seriously heavy deliverers of visual and acoustic blitzkreigery.
I don't think some of the Saxophony loitering in it's wake really knew what had transpired - a breathtaking display of gargantuanly antisocial, politically illegal, fuel spitting wanton abandon.
The most aggressive three quarter rear aspect of any car, ever? Almost certainly.
(The memory of that blood curdling blast away made my subsequent stop off at Tesco for a box of coldies slightly less nauseating than it would otherwise have been - and that's the true power of the Marlow Beast...)

Apologies to DeR - I know you love them dear chap.
UV - this box is fantastic but very rare. I have found a 964RS box with LSD and will get it fiddled with to raise top speed from 170 in 5th at 7k revs to a few mph more, if poss.
