Hi chaps, I need your help.
I have a TVR which has a fibreglass targa roof section and I want to cut this in half to make it easier to stow and clamp it together when it goes back on the car.

I'm looking for two things
1. a simple thin seal which when clamped together will stop water getting through. overcentre catches will pull the two halves together so I want something narrow with a thin profile which will deal with being squashed.
Balmoral Green, you've been mentioned old chum as somone in the know - any suggestions gratefully receivedwink

2. the panel was fabric covered, but I want it painted because refitting fabric to it when I've cut it will be a pain and probably look cobbled together anyway.

The panel is about 4ft x 2.1/2ft
Can anyone suggest someone who would want to have a go at painting a union jack on it for me. doesn't have to be showroom quality because its only my spare roof, but they need to colour match the blue to the existing roof and make a better job than I could do myself or I'd be a bit irked at paying for it.
