Any NDT personnel in motorsport on here ?

I'm currently a NDT Technician working in the aerospace sector, i fancy combining what i know and what i love towards a change into the motorsport industry, i'm just wondering if anyone on here is and can advise me on something.
I'm currently a level 2 EN4179 in acid etch, MPI and FPI. I have been a technician for about 4 years and fully trained in 3 disciplines for 2 years. I etch steel and titanium parts, MPI test steel parts, chrome and cadmium plated parts and with regards to FPI i test chrome, HVOF, aluminium, titanium and brass bushes.
I know modern motorsport is all about carbon fibre/composites and i think its mainly ultrasonics and a bit of FPI to test these.
As i have no experience of UT and composites in your opinion do i have a chance for say working for a F1/motorsport team or somebody like prodrive ?
