Finally got the TVR to the garage and the running problems have been diagnoised as clogged injectors. Have been quoted cleaning will be £20 each, thought I might replace them instead.

I read in a previous edition of Sprint Magazine that the Bosch injectors are far better than Lucas ones. Is it worth using these?

Where can I get Bosch injectors from? US?

Which ones do I need?

Its a Chimeara 400.

Thanks

J

There is no point for a 400. They are about £70 each and the increased flow rate is only really evedent on a tuned 500.

Try a couple of bottles in injector cleaner over a couple of tanks of fuel first, or there was a guy on ebay offering an ultrasonic injector cleaner service for not a lot.

Thanks for the reply

Would Bosch injectors require a remap and a new chip or just a remap

UK supplier quoted £45 each for Bosch

There was some talk here or on the Griff forum of the difference in spray patterns, (ones a squirt, and ones more a mist ) and I think from memory the Bosch was better for low speed tractabilty. You might get away without a remap if you fit a variable fuel pressure regulator for fueling tweeks, as the ECU is quite flexible fueling wise. Not tried it personally however.
